BSA Camp Coker Shaw Campsite Repair
Donation protected
Welcome and thank you for considering this cause. This fundraiser is to benefit a project I am leading at Camp Coker. The Shaw campsite at Camp Coker is in dire need of repairs before summer camp. The Adirondack shelters where boys sleep during camp is in need of immediate attention. The roofs leak and the siding is in disrepair. The goal is to remodel all three with long lasting fiber board siding and metal roofs. This was done several years ago in the Horry site and it is holding up nicely. This will mostly benefit the boys at summer camp. However, campers from all troops and packs use the facility year round.
Some may wonder why the council doesn't simply write a check for these repairs. Camp is funded through the Pee Dee Area Council office. However, maintenance needs always exceed the alotted funds. Projects like these require leaders and scouts to seek help from generous people like yourself.
This is a project I am leading as part of my Wood Badge training. Thank you in advance for your support.
