Shayne Sanborn's Family Support

Donation protected
This is so hard to write. Today we lost a great man, Rodney Shayne Sanborn.  He was our Friend, Coach, Dad, Fiancé, Brother, Uncle, Mentor, and our Rock.  Shayne died tragically in a car accident on his way to coaching his son Tyler's 14-year-old hockey team in a tournament in Chicago.  As a veteran, Shayne dedicated his life to our country. As a coach, Shayne dedicated his life to the development and mentoring of children. He was more than a coach he was a father figure and a friend to those children that he guided.  But what Shayne was truly great at was being a Dad and a Family Man.  Shayne was incredible.

Today I got a heart shattering call from my sobbing Sister Molly.  The love of her life who sat at our mother's bedside through her passing, sat at our fathers bedside through his liver transplant, built special ramps for my parents to be able to get in their home, loved our family endlessly, made Molly the HAPPIEST we have ever seen her, would do anything for any one of us, has died... Shayne has died.  This can't be real.  Shayne had truly made our family complete. Our mother, who passed in August, died with her mind at ease knowing how happy Molly was with Shayne.

Molly and Shayne were engaged on May 17th of this year and had planned to have an official wedding as soon as possible.  They combined their families and had just designed and built a beautiful new house, living in it for less than 90 days.   Shayne was so proud to move his new family in the house I had just built them.  We all celebrated Thanksgiving together in their new home just two weeks ago.  They had many dreams of living happily ever after.  The home is so beautiful and finally decorated for their first family Christmas together.

Shayne's passing will create an incredible financial hardship.  Molly and her kids are in need of our support during this very uncertain future. We are asking that you do whatever you're capable of in terms of financial contributions to be used for funeral costs and living expenses.  This is certainly an unforeseen tragedy that was  not financially planned for.  Thank you for taking the time to read this, thank you for your prayers, and thank you for your support.
