Sheila's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
My sister Sheila Ann Garcia was born October 7th, 1981. Sheila was the youngest of my Mom's 5 kids, she has 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters and as the baby she received most of the attention and was loved very much as a child. When Sheila was 13 years old things took a very tragic turn for not only her but all 5 of us. On Valentine's Day in 1995 Sheila and our mother were in a very bad car accident. Our mom at the young age of 38 did not survive the crash and Sheila was critically injured but survived after weeks of reconstructive surgeries. She did not get to attend our Mother's funeral. In August of 2014 Sheila was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has battled this for the past 2 years but unfortunately the chemotherapy did not help and her condition has gotten worse. On October 3, 2016 she was admitted to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. where we were told she would not make it through the next 24 hours. Thankfully God has kept her here fighting and she did make it to her 35th birthday  which has allowed family members to come and visit her. On October 23 rd  2016 Sheila went to be with the Lord and our mom. Sheila has 5 kids, Isaac 17, Alexa 16, Carla 11, Carissa 10 and her baby Cara 5. We along with her children have been by her side day and night but her condition did not improve. For the last week or so she was no longer on an IV, she was not eating or being fed through a feeding tube and they also took the oxygen tubes off. The doctors said that none of those things would've  helped due to the stage of the cancer. We along with Sheila did not expect things to go this bad this soon and unfortunately we are not financially ready for funeral and burial costs. Sheila wished to be buried close to our mother on the east side of the state and we learned that moving her there is more expensive due to the distance. We are trying to raise this money so that she can be given a decent memorial service and more importantly be laid to rest close to our mom like she had wished! Everyone has been asking how they can help and this would be the best way that anyone could help at this time. If we are fortunate enough to raise the money and have any extra it will then go to her kids for some of their basic needs. We really want to thank anyone and everyone who makes a donation. Sheila fought and although her body broke down her spirit never did as she was talking and joking just days ago. This is a difficult time for us and to receive the help we need right now would be a blessing and would be greatly and deeply appreciated! Again thank you so much for any amount that you're able to give , big, big thanks from her sisters, Sherry Garcia and Angelita Aguilar, her brothers Chris and Raul Garcia and of course her children! Thank you and God bless you and your family!
