My name is Shelly. I work as a model, performer and all around creative.
I have started this GoFundMe in order to be able to give abandoned rescue guinea pigs a large loving home.

WHY?
It starts with a little guinea pig friend that joined my family many years back. Ludde had been timid and scared all his life and also lost his best friend Pipen who Ludde would always normally hide behind.
When he came to my family I started leaving the cage open and introducing him to my dogs Sally & Tippex. I left treats out in my room and in the flat so that he would come out of his cage more and more.
Ludde eventually became just like our third dog. When I came home from school they woud all 3 come running to the door, when it was snack time they would all stand on their two back feet and ask for their snacks. Ludde slept in the dog basket and ran free in the flat, he had a place on our balcony too and used to eat from the herbs we grew there.
Seeing an animal go from so scared to being so happy and comfortable was one of the best experiences in my life. I want to do something, make a difference and re-live those feelings.
I watched Earthlings the other day. A film about animal abuse in every area.. Diet, medicine, clothing, entertainment and...pets. The footage and facts you find out is absolutely heartbreaking.
Many millions of dogs, cats and small pets gets killed each year because we dont take responsibility of looking after them. So looking at the time and type of schedule I had to offer this is what I would like to do!
Remember if you 100% want a pet, take care of it for all its life, and also please look into adopting an animal. They normally only have 2 weeks to live from being abandoned to being killed.
HOW?
I have alot of garden space and have planned out a space for a hutch where I'm also gonna build a large outside run for them. This will all cost quite a bit, I have calculated the least amount I'd ned to get this going.
I have decided I'm gonna do this no matter how much funding I can get, but with your help I can get a larger hutch and adopt more pigs. Ill also be able to get everything together faster so I can start looking at pigs to bring home as soon as possible!
I want to adopt the least wanted guinea pigs that has the smallest chance of being re-homed.
I am lucky to have people around me that can help me look after my friends when mama is away travelling :)
SO WHAT NEXT?

Below I have listed the costs for everything so you can see what your donation will go towards.
FIRST TARGET: £450
This does not cover the whole list but only the most important things to make a good piggy home.
SECOND TARGET: £700
Due to things costing more than expected but also due to the positive response to the project I've highered the target to the new estimate of cost for the whole project!
If donations are below target I will keep saving up and buy the cheaper, smaller options and in time get other essentials.
If donations are above target that means I can look into buying more things from the list and also stock up on more hay/food.
