In June 2018, we started on our year-long journey. Although we knew there would be issues along the way, we didn’t expect them to hit us all at once in the first couple of weeks. We broke down on day one, blew out a wheel bearing on our tow dolly on day two, had to leave our car in Fargo in the first week, developed a decent oil leak after that, and had the back of the bus run into in a parking lot in Olympic National Forest. It just felt like we were getting kicked in the shins.
In the middle of all of that, we met some amazing people. We were once again reminded that it’s the people that we meet in life that makes it all worth it. We’ve already gotten to see more of the country then most people will in their entire lifetime, and we’ve been able to share those experiences with our children.
