Sister Love for Leah

In the middle of her studies at the University of Maine Leah was diagnosed with a rare immune disease. Secondary HLH, brought on by a CMV infection with constant neutropenia. Leah also obtained a deadly fungal infection called invasive pulmonary asperigiluss that got into her lungs and spread to her blood and heart. On top of little knowledge of HLH, the infection she obtained has an very low survival rate.
Due to her state she is not able to work but she remains the strong fighter she has always been. Leah looks forward to the day she can get back to helping her clients with special needs and continue being a leader in her community. Leah is a Junior at the University of Maine with a double major in Psychology and Music. Leah is also a member of Tri Delta, animal lover and founder of the licensed charitable organization EmpowerMe. We hope to raise some money for Leah and her family for medical bills and further treatment.
