Support Sister Felicita's Children

Peace Family: for the second time in seven days we were rocked by another sudden and tragic death of a member of our school family: last Monday, Sister Felicita Sotillo was murdered in her home down the street from our school ... in the ultimate horror and tragedy of domestic violence, our sister was killed in front of her mother and 3-year old daughter by a man from whom she had gotten an order of protection just the week before. Sister Felcita was an amazing single mother who mothered all of the children in our school community with an unconditional love and passion for all of their futures. We already miss the 'stroller' and the vibrant force of joy that emanated from her spirit as she pushed it through our halls.  She leaves behind three children (pictured above), including our 2nd Grade student Justin. Please give whatever you can to help us support her children as they start to make their way forward without their mom. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10th at First Corinthians Baptist Church (671 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn NY 11216). Viewing will be 3-7pm, with service at 7pm and repass from 8-10pm. Please join us to honor this great sister's life if you can, and either way raise your prayers for Sister Felcita, her children and family.
