Sitko Family Racing Rebuild
Donation protected
On August 19, 2017 the Sitko Family Racing team suffered a huge loss when their Nitro Funny Car left the asphalt into the end-of-track tire barrier at Spokane County Raceway due to a parachute malfunction. Despite driver Nathan Sitko's best efforts the car was going too fast to avoid the sand trap and impacted the barrier at a high rate of speed. Nathan walked away with only a mild concussion, but the car was not so lucky, it is a total loss. The chassis is bent, broken, and twisted and the body is also beyond repair.
The Sitko Family has been a staple in drag racing in the North West for over 50 years, spanning 3 generations of drivers with their family run race team. The crew is all volunteer, and the car is run with a very small budget. The funds raised will go towards building or purchasing a new car and parts required for the team to get back on track. We are asking you to be a part of their rebuild for the upcoming 2018 season. Thank you in advance for all your donations, it is very much appreciated!
