Fund for My Father - Beat Cancer

In 2013, my father, Frank Yu was diagnosed with Stage 4 laryngeal cancer and has been fighting it for roughly a year and a half.  He has gone through three cycles of chemotherapy (Cisplatin) and one cycle of radiotherapy.  The cancer is fighting back harder than ever and now the time has come where the doctors have said he has roughly 2-3 months to live unless he switches to a new treatment called targeted therapy (Cetuximab) in combination with another type of chemotherapy (Paclitaxel and Carboplatin) which will be given to him for twelve weeks.  Studies have shown that this method is very effective in fighting laryngeal cancer.  The treatment itself is expensive and is not covered by his insurance.  The doctor has stated that this is his last and only option.

As some of you might know, my mother passed away from Stage 4 ovarian cancer a few years ago.  My grandmother (dad’s side) also left us a year after, and just recently, two months ago, my grandfather (also dad’s side) passed away.  I have seen my family members leave me one by one and I am not ready to see my father go.  Our family has endured enough and I would give anything in the world to see my father recover and beat this.  All that’s standing between my father’s recovery is this financial burden for his targeted therapy treatment.
