Skydive for Children's Hospital
**UPDATE 12.11.18**
Yesterday morning at Skydive Langar, our team had hoped to jump from 13,500ft to raise money for Nottingham Children’s Hospital. Due to bad weather and strong winds, the skydive had to be postponed and rescheduled; half of the team will now jump on Sunday 18th November, and the remaining members will jump on Sunday 25th November. We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, and rest assured, our team will be diving in the near future. Bring it on!
Our brave team here at Magnet Expert will be partaking in a charity skydive for Nottingham Children’s Charity to commemorate the company’s 10 year anniversary.
Nottingham Children’s Hospital is close to our hearts, with our business being based on the Walker Industrial Estate in Nottinghamshire and many members of the Magnet Expert team having children themselves. Through our skydive, we are aiming to raise £2,000 to contribute towards the BIG Appeal at Nottingham Children’s Hospital, who are looking to raise £4 million over the next 4 years. The hospital is based at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where paediatric doctors and nurses care for over 60,000 babies, children and young people from across the region.
Through fundraising, they are hoping to provide specialised diagnostic equipment, fund research into childhood illnesses, and improve facilities for patients, families, and staff. The work they do is outstanding, and with your donations, these will help go towards the BIG Appeal, helping make sure that Nottingham Children’s Hospital is equipped with the very best x-ray and scanning facilities. This equipment will improve diagnosis and treatment, as well as reducing waiting times and hospital stays.
We are all passionate about charity and raising money collectively has always been a focus of Magnet Expert and the team. We feel the skydive is great opportunity to celebrate a special time for the business whilst giving something back to the local community.
It would be great to know that we have reached our target of £2,000 by the time we fall 13,500ft through the air, and would therefore be very grateful for any donation towards this great cause.
Wish us luck!
