Slow and Steady Wins Tony's Race
Donation protected
If you know Tony, you’ll know he lights up every single room he walks into and makes a new friend out of every person he meets. Unfortunately, since the night of January 25th, all who know and love Tony have been without his contagious, positive energy and lively spirit. When visiting urgent care for what he assumed was a terrible cold, he was told his oxygen levels were dangerously low and his lungs were rapidly filling with fluid. While rushing to the emergency room he "coded" 6 times and arrived at the hospital with little to no chance of survival. When the hospital called his brother, Joe, to inform him of what happened and to get to the hospital to prepare for the worst, Joe said, "That kid has always been a fighter; do whatever you have to do.”
So today, the same remains - he's a fighter. For the past week Tony has been shattering all odds. After first arriving to the hospital, they placed him in a new technology known as the Rotoprone bed which constantly turned his body to increase his oxygen and drain the fluid from his lungs. Following an incredible two week turnaround, he has been moved to a stationary bed in the ICU where he is being monitored. The doctors tell us Tony's nothing short of a miracle.
As a single father who suffered the loss of his wife years ago, Tony is all too familiar with tragedy. However, you'll never see him without happiness on his face and love being spread to every person he finds. He brings meaning to the word "joy" and shares it freely.
While the future is uncertain for our Tony, we are expecting disastrous medical expenses. With the road to health, comes a financial burden ahead of him. We're kindly requesting that if Tony has benefitted your life, please help him in any way you can. Every prayer, positive thought, and donation is greatly appreciated.
From the Sapore family with the upmost love and the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
