Smith Family Tragedy
Donation protected
On Saturday 26thMay, the lives of the Smith family were changed forever. Travelling on route to a horse event in Central NSW, their truck, carrying 17 horses, north of Dubbo, lost control, hit a culvert and rolled. This resulted in the death of Smith family patriarch, Ken Smith, the hospitialisation of Nick Smith along with nine horses who perished at the scene. Currently, eight horses remain in the Dubbo Equine Hospital with varying degrees of injuries.
The Smith family are incredibly grateful for the love and support received from friends, family and the wider equine community. They are a strong resilient family and will get through this together. With such a tragedy, there are some immediate financial responsibilities that could have not have been foreseen. As such, a Go Fund Me page has been established for the family and those wishing to provide financial support to assist with their recovery both physically and emotionally, in their time of need. All fund will be directly deposited into the Smith family bank account.
In advance, we thank you for your incredible generous support as we help the family slowly get back to normality.
