Sniff Out Cancer - Save Lives
My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer on a Monday. She passed away the following Tuesday. Six days was all we had to say our goodbyes. I promised her I would do all I could to give people a chance to beat cancer.
I sought out how to train dogs to detect cancer. I have been involved with projects led by other individuals, but I have this promise to keep to my mother. I have a team of volunteer dogs at the ready. We only need to partner with a researcher to obtain the cancer samples, submit our study design to approval agencies, and document our research into the early detection of cancer with dogs.
We need $150,000 now to complete our mission. This will cover a small portion of the researcher's fees, obtain sufficient cancer samples to train the dogs, obtain a medical grade freezer to store the samples, and help me to pay for the training facility.
I have been featured on ABC 33/40 in Birmingham. Here is a link to the news article, so you know I am serious about this!
ABC 33/40 News Segment on Our Cancer Detection Dogs
We can help save lives with this groundbreaking research into early cancer detection. But we need you to do this!
Mom lived 6 days after her cancer diagnosis. Can you give $6.00 (or more) so we can run the study, and show that cancer detection dogs will save lives?
