Please Help Natuva Village, Fiji!

Donation protected
My name is Karen Whittaker and my partner is Peni Kovekalou (Ben Ravai) of Natuva Village, Fiji.  I am the head of primary at the International School in Suva. Ben's family village Natuva and the nearby village of Nameka has been affected by recent Cyclone Winston and they need our help!   As you would have seen on the news, there are many places that have been devastated by this cyclone and we want to make a difference in our family's villages.  Their plantations all destroyed and houses damaged by winds and flooding, we hope to raise some funds to buy much needed food, hardware supplies and toiletry/washing essentials to help them through this very tough time in their lives! Simple things such as nails, roofing iron, flour, rice, washing soap, tarps, water and buckets.  Their livelihood and food supply are their plantations, which are now destroyed.  It will take some time to start again.  Also for any schools out there that wish to help, the village school may also require our support.  We have heard already that their toilets are all broken and unusable and they have lost books and stationery.  If you can help at all, we and of course, the people of these villages will be extremely grateful.   A trip to the village this Saturday will help us to determine what is exactlyneeded where and how quickly.   All funds will be deposited into a special account designated to this cause only.  We will keep you updated with photos etc. of how we use the funds to support our family and friends. We thank you immensely in advance for your help!
