On Dec 12 my friend Chanel received the worst news of her life. Her beautiful 24 yr old daughter Sophia had been found on the side of the road with a gunshot wound to her chest two hours from where her mom last saw her. Why she was so far away, who she was with and why she was murdered are questions that have yet to be answered. This senseless end to a life just beginning has broken the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
Unbelievably this is the fourth call in five years my friend has received notifying her of a family members death.
On Dec 19 2012, her husband was found deceased leaving her to raise five children on her own. A year later her brother died suddenly from a heart attack, followed by her mother the following year. Now four days before the sixth anniversary of her husbands death, shes lost her little girl.
Parents aren't supposed to bury their babies. And trying to come up with the money for a funeral is the last thing they should have to worry about. Especially during the holidays.
That's why I've started this GoFundMe.
Please help me raise $5000 (or more) so my friend can lay her daughter to rest and maybe even be able to purchase Christmas gifts for her other four children without extra stress and struggle.
