Sophia in Lebanon

Once again, after volunteering for 1 month on Leros island in Greece, and 3 months in northern Greece (Idomeni), I have planned my next volunteering trip; this time at the refugee settlements in the Beqaa valley in Lebanon. I will volunteer with the organisation called Salam LADC ( https://www.salamladc.org/ ), and am planning to do so for about 6 months starting on the 4th of November (will fly out on the 3d).
This time it is going to be a bit more costly for me as everything is going to be on my own expenses (nothing provided by the organisation, like in Idomeni). For 6 months, the accomodation alone will cost about 800 euros. Then the necessary vaccinations (105), the flight (130), the flights back and forth to renew my visa (around 300), and a Lebanese sim card(50) add up to about another 550 euros. I can pay a big part of all this, but not all, that is why I ask for help again; this time for me personally to be able to do this.
If you would rather donate for the cause, you can still do so at my previous fundraiser, https://www.gofundme.com/helprefugeesinneed .
Lebanon has an approximate population of 4,5 million, with more than 1,5 million refugees. With these numbers, it is the number one country in the world with most refugees per capita (1/4). It has hosted big numbers of refugees since WWII, when Palestinians were forced to flee their country. Therefore, between 1948 and 1963, 12 (official) refugee camps were created in Lebanon hosting hundreds of thousands of Palestinians over the course of the years, many of which have and are still settling in the camps for good.
Now, since the Syrian civil war in 2011, the country has received another -approximately- 1,5 million Syrians. Today, still, as the ruthless war goes on, many enter and settle in the Beqaa valley, which borders with Syria.
Help is urgently needed in those camps, for example with distributing food, clothes, firewood, heating fuel, teaching English and continuing some kind of education for the children, helping families financially or providing them with livestock to become more self sufficient and many many more things.
Donate to help me help! Any amount is welcome ❤
