Mott Haven's 1st Spring Festival

Hello, my name is Carolina and I recently competed in Chopped with the goal of winning $10,000 to invest in my community. I tried my very best to represent the South Bronx and my Indigenous roots during the cooking competition but I was chopped on the entree round.
However, I am more determined than ever to serve my community. I started this fundraiser because I would like to host a spring festival this year full of freebies and interactive activities at Brook Park for the children of the South Bronx.
Most family events usually take place in the wealthier parts of the city and I strongly believe the families of the  South Bronx deserve the same opportunities as everyone else.  We want our neighbors to have fun without being pushed out of their own community.
