Southern Workers School - Durham
Donation protected
Workers across the South are organizing for power on the job and to transform society. The Southern Workers Assembly is hosting our 3rd annual Southern Workers School, this time partnering with the Durham Workers Assembly, a grouping of labor organizations in Durham, NC.
We plan to host a series of 9 workshops to teach workers the basics of organizing at their workplace, including assignments on the job and the development of organizing tools to help prepare SWA worker-representatives to embark on a plan to build the organized rank-and-file infrastructure in workplaces and industries across the US South.
It will be conducted over the weekends of September 14-16, 2018 and October 19-21 with sessions in between. Several dozen rank-n-file workers from various industries primarily across North Carolina (but also across the South) will attend this school. We need your support to make it happen!
