South of Seoul App Extravaganza
Donation protected
South of Seoul started in 2015 just to see if anyone in town might be interested in learning what their was to do and eat locally (and other parts of Korea at times), instead of relying on Seoul.
As it turned out, more than just a few people were interested in finding awesome things close to home. Within 6 months it was clear that the demand for accurate and inclusive information about Pyeongtaek was higher than one person and a blog could possibly provide.
With local need and interest in South of Seoul increasing monthly, Lanae decided it was time to get serious and start working on an app that would allow the community increased access to information and a better way to work together as a team. Building a bigger more complicated website didn't seem like the right solution, so the S.O.S (South of Seoul) app was born.
Even though Lanae (South of Seoul) has managed to build the app for dirt cheap, it still will cost about $1,080 ($90/month) a year to maintain and could use about $20 more a month to be the best it can be. It doesn't include anything fancy. It's just the absolute basics need to ensure that all platforms are supported and the lights stay on.
Although South of Seoul (Lanae) wishes it could just pay for everything all alone, she also still kind of wants to be able to afford visiting her lil sister each year because that's what gives her the inspiration and motivation to do her best in life.
Lanae is very dedicated to making South of Seoul better and better and better x infinity each year. If you find the app helpful and could contribute a bit to it's maintenance it would be cray fabulous.
(And yes, Lanae wrote this.... entirely in the third person.)
