New Uniforms for The PRIDE!
Donation protected
The Southside High School Band, "The PRIDE" of Southside, is one of the oldest, and most traveled bands in northeast Alabama. The PRIDE has appeared on national television several times with performances in cities such as New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Phoenix & Orlando. In the 1970's the Alabama State Legislature appointed the Southside Band “The Musical Ambassadors of Alabama”.
The Southside Band is completely self-sustaining.
We receive no budget from our county school system or high school. Our band program has seen tremendous growth in the past 4 years with membership exploding from just 90 members in 2011 to over 160 in 2015. Simply put, WE ARE OUT OF UNIFORMS.
Our current uniforms were purchased in 2005 and have been well taken care of; however, they are beginning to show their age. In addition, due to our growth, 40 of our members have had to march without the same uniform as the rest of the band. There just aren't enough uniforms!
Because we must also purchase new instruments to accommodate our growth, The PRIDE Music Assoc. is asking for YOUR help in order to raise the 60,000 needed to purchase 200 new uniforms.
