Special Needs Patients Dental Fund
Donation protected
For people with special needs, dentistry is often impossible to accomplish without sedation. Michael T. is just one of thousands of patients locally who cannot be treated in a traditional dental setting.
The patients we treat include those with medical concerns, patients cognitive disorders, patients with Down's Syndrome, Adult Autism, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, or any other condition where the patient cannot cooperate for the dental care needed.
Most of the special needs patients, like Michael, are on public assistance and there are very few facilities that accept this type of assistance as payment for services. As a result, most of these patients go untreated and cannot find facilities to work with them.
Nearly everyday we receive inquiries from families seeking help for their loved ones. We do not have the resources to treat these patients and have to turn them away. There are very few facilities that have the training to place patients under anesthesia to restore their teeth and smiles. As a result this group of patients routinely end up with emergency care and the unnecessary loss of teeth.
The purpose of the go fund me account would be to assist Michael and patients like him. The funding would be used to complete their needed care and to return each patient to an acceptable level of dental health.
Your contribution to the fund in any amount will go a long way to helping this underserved segment of the population.
Thank you.
