Stab victim help with support
Donation protected
My brother was stabbed twice on Thursday 28th June in an unprovoked attack in Chatham high street
one of the stab wounds was into his heart .
he was taking from Kent to a London hospital kings college where a team of surgeons were waiting for his arrival.
on his arrival he was whisked straight into theatre where he under went open heart surgery to repair the damage caused.
on moving him into recovery from surgery he bled out and had a cardiac arrest ,there was a second puncture to his heart that went in noticed as wasn’t picked up on the CT scan luckily he was so close to theatre they rushed him back on and opened him back up to save his life a second time round .
he spend 6 days in critical care condition on a life support machine .
the doctors bought him round on the following Tuesday where he stayed critical for a further 4 days .
here he also received 5 blood transfusions
two week later he is slowly on the mend to recovery has memory loss as things stand and receiving on going help from the medical team at kings hospital where he remains at present still
he is now awake and having to learn life skills all over again like : gripping things to hold , drinking and eating and mostly walking and dressing himself these things are proving difficult .
he is going to need lots of home help once he returns home and we have found a flat more suitable for him and closer to family so we can continue to support his needs more on hand.
but to be able to this we need help with funding to find two weeks rent upfront
removal cost including two men to lift household goods
costs to make the flat more cosy and liveable for him .
And May need adaptions made to help him in rehabilitation
any donations would of course be very much appreciated and be of great help
Would also like to thank kings college hospital and all there team in the critical care unit for the 24 hour care they gave to Tony .... without their expertise and non stop care for him we wouldn’t be telling his story today .
thank you all
