#StarinCares Veterans Service Dog
Tax deductible
Starin Cares is launching a Fundraising event culminating at InfoComm 2019 to attempt to raise funds to provide a Military Veteran with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) a Service Dog.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after you have been through a traumatic event. During this type of event, you think that your life or other's lives are in danger. You may feel afraid or feel that you have no control over what is happening. A Specially Trained PTSD Dog can provide a sense of security and a calming effect that can make a difference in the life of a Veteran that suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
New Horizons Service Dogs is located in central Florida and relies solely on the generosity of donations. Raising a specially trained Service Dog is their mission. The costs for housing, feeding, and medical expenses for raising a puppy and then providing specialized training to aide the recipient can amount to $30,000 per dog. This is often a two-year process and not all of the puppies will make the grade. We are hoping through the generous support of our AV Industry Family, we will be able to raise funds and present a check to the New Horizons organization at InfoComm 19. New Horizons will then provide a service dog to a Veteran in need in Florida. Often times there is a 1-2 year waiting list to for this type of Service Dog.
Want to join us in making a difference? Starin Cares is raising money to benefit New Horizons Service Dogs Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to all of us.
