Return Montessori Magic to the State Fair in 2019!

Let's connect thousands of Minnesota families, educators, and policymakers to the Magic of Montessori at the MN State Fair!

Since 2015, the Minnesota Montessori Network has hosted an interactive exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair. Our sought-after haven for the young fair-goers and their families is located in the Education Building of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. There is no better investment to connect Minnesotans to Montessori than this high-energy, high-reach, hands-on Montessori classroom exhibit for all ages. Last year, Fair attendance surpassed 2 million visitors! Visitors experience materials and images from Montessori classrooms, birth through high school.  They leave with inspiration and handouts: Montessori Essentials, MN Montessori School Directory and contact info for teacher training centers.

Do you want to see Montessori back at the Fair in 2019?  

Can you imagine any better way to directly expose thousands of visitors to hands-on Montessori experience?  

$4,000 is a small community price to pay for this opportunity.  It costs over $2,000 just to be able to have a space in the building.  Then, $1,000 to improve, replenish, and maintain the Montessori materials and furniture.  Finally,  $1,000 for tools to make it happen:  printing thousands of handouts, school information database to create the directory, communications platforms, volunteer management tools, and entrance tickets for teachers who cannot afford to volunteer without support.  

When we raise this money together, we get to bring Montessori back to the State Fair in 2019!  The down-payment on the lease is due on April 20th and material, school directory, and volunteer management start in full-force in May.  With your help,  the magic of Montessori returns to the State Fair this year.

We also seek volunteers from the Montessori community to interact with visitors offering diverse perspectives. This includes teachers, school administrators, parents, board members, alumni and adolescent students. We have heard rave reviews from all types of Montessori schools that enjoy volunteering at the exhibit for a full day together as an exciting and rewarding team-building experience.  For many, this is an annual event not to be missed!
