State Street Residents & Employees

UPDATE 6 (4/26/17): Hello Everyone! We are just a few days away from the end of this campaign on May 1st. I want to take this time to say thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the social media shares and the donations to make this possible for the displaced residents and State Street Saloon employees.

I am so pleased to let you all know that attorney Thomas Watson of Drummond Woodsum Attorneys at Law will be acting as the beneficiary! Mr. Watson completed his undergrad at UNH and also graduated from the UNH School of Law. He is an active member of the community and has held positions with several local groups including the Portsmouth Historical Society, Strawbery Banke Museum, and the Portsmouth Planning Board among others. Mr. Watson was even named the Portsmouth Citizen of the Year in 1995. He is currently the president of the Portsmouth Athenaeum and is a trustee for Trustees of the Trust Funds for Portsmouth, New Hampshire. These are just some of his current and past involvements. Mr. Watson is truly an outstanding local citizen and I am looking forward to working with him to make sure residents and employees receive their checks for the donation money!

Any money raised will be distributed to those displaced by the fire and also will help employees of "Statey".  Donations will be spread between the two identified groups, and then distributed equally to the intended recipients of each of the groups as a one-time payment.  

If an intended donation recipient declines to accept, the money will be donated to the Portsmouth Fire Department. 

Update: If you are a resident who was displaced by this terrible fire, please contact your property main office to get my contact information. By law they cannot distribute your information, but they can distribute mine. Please contact me when you have time! The community is here to help.

Per the requirement of GoFundMe, I have to disclose some info about myself. I went to UNH, I rent in Portsmouth, I have been a customer at State Street Saloon, I am sure most of us have at some point. I created this page because it's the right thing to do.
