Yoga Teacher Training

I've been teaching yoga in my community for the last three years, since I was 17. Growing up, I was always overweight and yoga was a fitness class offered when my family joined the health club. I loved my teacher, she made me feel like I belonged and truly cared for me. A year after I lost the weight I kept up the practice for fear of gaining weight which lead to an eating disorder. My meditation then began to focus on choosing a new action when fear and anxiety entered my being. Through that revelation, I was able to become free from those self-limiting beliefs and my life became the possibility of self-love, happiness and love for others.
When I walk out of the studio after teaching, I feel more alive and connected than ever. It's my favorite feeling. During our practice I see the physical struggles, emotional struggles and then the letting it all go. I help create a beautiful space for compassion, love, patience and grace. We create new possibilities together and when I see someone able to go a bit further in their practice or get into a pose they've never been able to do before, it's THAT astonished moment in their eyes that becomes delight, joy and a feeling of success that impacts everyone's practice!
To become a full-time teacher and create those things every day is my dream. To do this, I need the further accreditation of my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification. I have applied for a training that begins this September and I'm reaching out to you to ask for your support. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
