Stepping up for News Stand Anthony
Donation protected
Anthony is a hard working individual who has fallen on hard times. Anthony served in the Air Force from 1979 - 1982 and will be 60 years old on November 12th.
He currently sells newpapers to make ends meet; making about $120 per week. More times than not Anthony sleeps outdoors.
Our community came together to help Anthony by fixing up the Gladstone Park News Stand at Milwuakee and Central, buying him new winter clothes and providing food donations. Monetary donations have also helped him get a place to stay for next few weeks.
Our idea is simple. Let's help Anthony get a fresh start. The money raised will be used to suplement living arrangements until the money runs out. Anthony would pay $100 per month toward rent and we will cover the difference.
While this is not a long term fix, our hope is this will give Anthony a chance to get a leg up to take care of himself down the road. We will also look into other resources that may be available to him as a vet.
Anthony couldn't be more humble. He is not asking for help, but has shown nothing but appreciation for the help he is getting.
Please consider giving a few dollars to help Anthony. And thank you for your generosity.
Please note:
Thank you to Dan Ciolino and Wintrust Bank Gladstone Park for establishing an account and waiving all bank account fees for the funds raised.
The bank account will be managed by the Gladstone Park Neighborhood Association for the benefit of Anthony.
If you prefer, you can make donations directly to Wintrust Bank at 6336 N. Milwaukee Ave in Gladstone Park.
