medical bills

My name is pedro monteiro I am 35 years old and am married with 3 children ages are 12, 9, and 8 . I was recently diagnosed with oral cancer.  on october 24th, i had my surgery. the surgery lasted 9 hrs. I had my tongue removed all the way back to my throat and reconstructed. surgeon also removed everything under the tongue and reconstructed that as well. I had 33 lymph nodes removed under my jaw. they had to cut open one side of my jaw all the way to other side. they used the muscle from my left leg and skin, they also used my left arm for the skin graft, they had to put me in induced coma for 22 hours after surgery so i wouldnt move and tear anything they had reconstructed.

At first we were told that i would only be out of work for a month but the recovery is going to  be alot longer due to having to do radiation for the next 6 weeks. i still have feeding tube and tracheostomy and currently can not go back to work for awhile. Unfortunately, we were not prepared financially for something major like this to happen. My wife is currently working but does not make enough to cover all the expenses as I was the primary income.  She is taking care of the kids and their daily activities, is very involved in our children's school community, and now helping to take care of me and trying to make ends meet. funds will help with rent, bills, food, medical expenses, and for my kids to have a normal holiday season. once I am better, I hope to be in a better position to be prepared for anything and plan to pay it forward.  Anything will help and is greatly appreciated.
