Suad's Car Accident Fund

On October 21st 2016 Suad Ahmed, 16, and four other teenagers were involved in a serious car accident. Suad and her friends  Sahra, 16, and Edna, 15,  were all in the back of a Corolla. Edna was partially ejected out of the car. Sahra and Suad were totally ejected out of the car causing Suad serious injuries, and Sahra killed on the scene (RIP). Suad was also pronounced unresponsive on scene but was revived after 5 minutes of chest compressions.

The girls were heading to Mall of America to go shopping.  The crash occured in the southbound lanes of Highway 52 at 240th st in the Township of Hampton.

*Highway 52 consists of 2 lanes in each direction with a grass median that is unprotected.

Driver drifted off onto the left shoulder swerved back into the left lane and began to slide/skid,  the car went off the road into the median and then into the southbound lanes of Highway 52. Suad and Edna were transported to Regions Hospital with serious injuries. The driver and front seat passenger were transported to St. Marys with minor injuries.

Suad has been in ICU for a month now with serious injuries. She has significiant deformities in her lower body & many fractured bones. She underwent a lot of surgeries focused on her pelvis and two legs. Its unsure if she will be able to walk in the near future. If God wills, she will start her speech therapy next week. For now, Suad is taking things step by step and as of right now the family does not know how long she will be in the hospital.

All funds will go directly to all hospital expenses and any other expenses related to the incident and help care for Suad. Suad needs 24hr supervision from her family and this does effect wages coming in.
