Sue DeJesus Race Kona Adventure

Hi Everyone!
My name is Sue deJesús. I’m 67 years old this year and I have just completed my very first full distance Ironman triathlon and raced well enough to come in first place in my age group of women ages 65 to 69. By winning, I had the opportunity to claim one racing spot for the IRONMAN® World Championship race held in Kailua Kona, Hawaii this October 13th.
This is the race that is televised by CBS every year and is the most famous of all triathlon races. It’s the Mother of them all—the first, the most famous, the most prestigious, and the most coveted of opportunities in the triathlon world. And amazingly, I have earned one of those coveted spots!
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate with the best athletes from all around the world and experience this iconic race that is known for its fierce heat, strong winds, and withering humidity. I just could not say no to this opportunity. I will live my life knowing that I will forever be able to look back on 2018 as my IRONMAN year.
That said, I’m now realizing that there is (for me) tremendous expenses involved in this undertaking to attend this race. I would need most of these funds by the end of May. I’m looking to partner with you in this adventure. Just like in times of tremendous drought (water debt) air planes would “seed” into the clouds in order to create plentiful rain for the earth, I’m asking you to “seed” into my Ironman World Championship adventure and receive plentiful inspiration to tackle YOUR biggest challenges by seeing the reward that consistency, hard work and smart work, motivation, dedication, discipline, sacrifice, mental fortitude, and the personal transformation that all these can bring!!
If you choose to invest in my adventure, I thank you in advance for helping me to do something truly great and memorable. And my hope and prayer is that what you give will be returned to you many times over.
The funds you “seed” will only go towards my racing needs: coaching fees, airfare for two, accommodations for 10 days, race registration fees, transport of my bike, photos and video keepsakes, gear replacement, final race safety checks for my bike, food, surprise expenses, special race day sports drinks and gels, tips, parking, awards banquet ticket, race day fuel, supplements, sports nutrition consults, chiropractic care and massage as needed.
