Super Hungerfest 2018
Donation protected
The brothers of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity will fast for 24 hours leading up to the Super Bowl to raise money to support Island Harvest for the twelfth year in a row. Next to Thanksgiving, the Super Bowl is one of the most gluttonous holidays in the United States. In order to raise awareness about the issue of hunger on Long Island, the brothers have traditionally not eaten and drank only water. By hosting on-campus events and conducting a door-to-door nonperishable food drive this weekend, we enable local supermarkets, residents of the community, and businesses to participate in giving back. We will also be standing in front of supermarkets to collect nonperishable food and monetary donations. One small act of kindness can cause a huge affect on the lives of those who have very little. You can reach out to the fraternity via Instagram at @AUKappaSigma. We will also be accepting donations on our GoFundMe page for the event.
