Support Elizabeth Navarro

Elizabeth Navarro has  been our behind-the-scenes Wonder Woman since 2013. Ever wonder who re-fills the paper towel, stocks your kitchens with supplies or delivers coffee to your suite every morning? Elizabeth works tirelessly to ensure that everyone has a clean office, a fun happy hour and yummy breakfast. When she is not at INNOCEAN, Elizabeth can be found working her second job or cooking and cleaning for her family. As many of you can attest, she is always quick with a kind word or a smile. 

Last week, Elizabeth's husband Mario was given the news that he is in need of immediate open heart surgery. However, because of the nature of their citizenship (both have sponsored green cards through their employer), neither have had adequate health insurance. The out-of-pocket expenses for a surgery of this magnitude, as well as the loss of income due to recovery, are well beyond what Elizabeth and Mario can afford. Despite doctors warning Mario that he needed heart surgery as soon as possible, he had to return to work while Elizabeth applied for comprehensive insurance. They are currently in a 45 day waiting period to hear back on whether Mario will be accepted. 

This GoFundMe is to assist Mario and Elizabeth with all medical related costs. If the insurance goes through, Mario will still need to take time off of work and Elisabeth as well to help his recovery. If Mario is unable to get this insurance, time off of work will be the least of their financial worries. This has been extremely distressing for Elizabeth, but she still shows up every day and puts on a brave face.
