Bukola immigrated from Nigeria to Houston, Texas in 2016. After an having an extremely difficult time there making ends meet, having to beg for food at churches and generally feeling unwelcome as a migrant, she decided she wanted immigrate to Canada. The church helped her organize odd jobs so that she was able to raise enough money to make the journey here. After arriving in Canada she stayed in shelters until she received welfare to get an apartment. She arrived here with 3 children: 6 years old, 3 years old and 10 months. Just the other day her 6 year old son, who was registered to start school in the fall, drowned in a the apartment buildings pool. She has just moved into an empty apartment, is grieving, and needs all the support she can get. , Cash donation would be best for her so that she can make ends meet, fill her home with furniture, and have time to grieve, but all is appreciated. Whether you have some nice lightly used furniture to donate, want to make some home cooking, have access to resources you think would be helpful, let us know.
Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
