Support for Magdalena Medina

Magdalena, Maggie as she is known to her co-workers, is one of our Staff People who works at our Front Desk at Community Healthcare Network, where we provide Primary Care, Behavioral Health Care and Care Coordination services to 85,000 patients who primarily come from the underserved communities of Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan and Queens.

This past weekend, there was a fire in Maggie's home where she and her family lost everything they owned.  She is currently receiving some temporary shelter assistance from the Red Cross, but she is in extreme need of assistance in order for her and her family to establish another permanent residence. Just being able to come up with the money for the first month's rent, the last month's rent, and one month's security deposit on such an urgent basis is an extreme hardship.  This is not even taking into consideration all of the other basic needs one has to replace given such a total loss.

Maggie is in need of funds as soon as possible in order for her to be able to stabilize her living situation. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
