Support Fund for Marian Haddad
Donation protected
Our friend, Marian Haddad, has had a very tough time of it over the last several years. In 2013, her home was contaminated by a chemical product that was used by an HVAC company. She was able to stay in her home during the winter, but for the last three summers she lived with us in Round Rock.
Marian has been involved in an extended litigation case vs. the HVAC company, but when she was finally about to go to deposition she had a TERRIBLE fall and broke her ankle. When she fell, the foot was actually sideways on her leg, the ankle broken in three places with the fibula and tibia left dangling--totally separated from the ankle and foot. The leg bones have been secured to the foot via surgery, but Marian lost 15 pieces of bone and gained about 24 pieces of hardware (ouch!). It will be a long recovery process and Marian is thankful to those who have helped her over the last several weeks--especially Sally Anderson who has been an angel on earth.
Medicare only approved 8 days in the rehab hospital, so Marian is now staying in a hotel in the San Antonio area. Unfortunately, she cannot go home because her sensitivities were compounded last summer, as was the atmosphere in her home.
If Marian can raise enough funds to pay for a month in advance, she can save $400 in hotel fees. I know many have been following her story on Facebook and would probably like to help in some way. A donation to this fund is the perfect way to do so. It would mean to much to our sweet, poet- friend, Marian.
