Support Lexi's Fight against Lyme's

Please support Lexi – an amazing Christian young lady!

Lexi graduated high school in 2016 and headed to Texas A&M University – Commerce to follow her dream of playing college soccer. Her dream was short lived. During pre-season she noticed a red bull-eye rash on her forearm due to a tick bite. Over the next few weeks she noticed even more bites. She took her medication and kept on living life. By December/January she noticed she was extremely fatigued and having memory problems. She was almost bedridden, she could barely walk because of the pain and numbness in her legs. She went from a lively, healthy, active college athlete to someone that could barely get around in a matter of a few months. She had to quit school and move home in order to seek the medical treatment she needed. She was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease.  Lexi and her family have been to multiple doctors and tried different rounds of treatments (which none are covered by insurance) in order to get her symptoms under control. Symptoms include chronic migraines, joint/muscle pain, fatigue/weakness, memory problems, neuropathy, insomnia, back/neck pain and sensitivity to light/sound. Lexi did research to find a facility that could truly help her with her Lyme’s, she found a treatment facility in Kansas that specializes in Lyme’s. Praise the Lord! In April 2017, she traveled to Kansas. The short time she was there she could see and feel herself getting better. She had several grueling days of treatment before returning home. As I mentioned earlier, treatment for Lyme’s is NOT covered by insurance. Lexi needs to make another trip to Kansas for treatment to help her continue to get this under control. Due to the cost of treatment she has not been able to get back to Kansas. She is continuing to seek the right Dr in her area that can help her to manage her symptoms and treat the disease. Whether she continues to recieve treament close to home or is able to get treatment in Kansas, the treatments are expensive and not covered by insurance.
She is a fighter, I have never (not one time) heard her complain about having Lyme’s. She believes that God allowed her to have this to be able to teach others about it and reach the world. She feels that if her story can help just 1 other person than it was worth everything she is going through on a daily basis. Lexi has her good and bad days but is still smiling and joking even on those bad days. Please help us help Lexi get the continous treatment she needs to head down the road to recovery. We ask that you share her story with others that you know. Since meeting Lexi, we have heard of so many others that live with Lyme’s and are looking for a cure. Every donation helps, whether big or small. You never know what your donation can do to help her and ultimately others fight this battle.

Please meet Lexi - see her photos from treatment.
