Support Marian Dimanchev's Family

Donation protected
Marian Dimanchev came to Canada from Bulgaria in 2012 with the goal of obtaining a doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary. His wife Polina and their children  joined him a year later.

After significant and uncommon challenges, Marian completed his Ph.D and began looking for work. Unfortunately, he soon after became ill and was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Marian was courageously and diligently fighting against this terrible disease, and the last four months of his life were spent in the hospital. Tragically, his condition suddenly worsened and he died on April 9, 2019.

Marian was a devoted father, husband and friend. He was always willing and ready to help anyone in any way he could. He was an extraordinarily  intelligent and gifted engineer with many groundbreaking, revolutionary ideas that he was looking forward to implementing. At the same time Marian was a deeply thoughtful, gentle and humble man.  He was a beloved member of Living Word Church in Calgary, and was also involved with the Bulgarian community in the city. His presence will be greatly missed.

Marian's grieving family now face many challenges. The funds collected here will be given to the family to assist them with the living and other expenses that they'll face while they get back on their feet. It's a small way to care for this dear family and honour an extraordinary man.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
