Miss Black FL US Ambassador
Greetings!!!
I am Alexandria Washington and I have the pleasure of representing Florida in the 2017 Miss Black US Ambassador pageant in Orlando, FL. I am a second year Doctor of Public Health student at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I received my Bachelor in Health Science and Master in Public Health from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University also. A natural born servant leader, I currently serve as the Surgeon General for the Student Government Association for her University, a Young People 4 Fellow, America Walks Fellow, and an Education Ambassador for Bright Pink. This year, my expertise and dedication to my community resulted in being named one of Tallahassee Democrat’s “25 Women You Need to Know” and a spot in class 4 of the New Leaders Council.
Utilizing the platform “Representation Matters” I will work to ensure that marginalized communities always have a seat at the table and voices are heard when decisions are made. This three-part campaign will be achieved through raising awareness of health inequities, leadership development seminars, and the promotion of leadership opportunities on the local, state and national level.
So what does my donation go towards?
1. Expenses during the week-long pageant competition including food and lodging at the host hotel from July 16-23, 2017.
2. Ongoing leadership development.
3. Participation in the Call Me Miss Ambassador Symposium.
4. Travel and wardrobe expenses.
5. Production of beautiful stage presentation which includes professional equipment, sets, judges, emcees’ technicians, entertainment, and staff.
The Miss Black US Ambassador pageant system will be the FIRST black pageant held at Disney World, this is your chance to be a part of this history changing experience. I am proud to represent the great state of Florida and hope that you will support me in bringing the National Title to Florida
