SUPPORT NYC FEDERAL WORKERS: SOLIDARITY RALLY

Donation protected
With no end in sight, the government shutdown is forcing hundreds of thousands of federal employees to scramble for support and information. We are organizing a Federal Employee Solidarity Event and are looking for donations to provide food and beverage to those attending; any additional funds will go to support our union coalition  to fight for Federal worker rights.

The event will take place on Friday, January 25 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at DCTV Studios at 87 Lafayette, Manhattan (http://www.dctvny.org)

Join IFPTE Local 98, AFGE Local 3911, our fellow Federal workers, and supporters in the labor movement and the broader community for urgently needed resources organized in one place and a badly needed morale boost that only comes from solidarity!  We plan to rally for an end to the shutdown, to gather to build morale, and to organize for what may be a long struggle ahead.

Information about legal, financial and other resources to provide relief and guidance for impacted workers will be on offer.

Bring your friends, family and homemade signs!

*We’re seeking support from local businesses, other unions, and private citizens. To offer professional services, food, messages of solidarity or other help, please send us a message.

You can RSVP for the event at our Facebook page.

More information is at the NYC Federal Workers United event page.

Funds will be transferred to a union coalition bank account managed by the AFGE Local 3911 treasurer, Marlon Gonzales.
