Support Officer Cole Centner & family
Cole is a police officer so we live life praying we'll never get a phone call something has happened. This weekend [6/8/19] he was injured severely in a hit-and-run accident outside of work.
Cole and his wife, Brittany, traveled to Wisconsin for their baby shower. They're expecting a son! While driving on a rural road, Cole was hit by another driver. That man fled the crash scene, leaving Cole with multiple leg breaks, broken ribs, a concussion and a collapsed lung. He was airlifted. Days later, he's stable but not out of the woods.
It'll be a few days before he's medically transported to UK Hospital in Lexington with quite a few surgeries on the horizon and quite a few months before he's back on his feet.
Cole and Brittany expect their first child in July! Undoubtedly, there are hardships ahead as they navigate finances following such a severe accident. We are raising money in hopes of making this season a little less stressful. After all, this is supposed to be such an exciting time in their life together!
Anything you are able to give, we greatly appreciate. The money will be used to cover impending medical bills and home bills while the two are unable to work. Brittany will be taking care of baby and Cole until he's back on his feet, likely weeks to months beyond maternity leave.
Cole has wonderful brothers and sisters in blue at the Georgetown Police Department who are rallying around family; We're thankful for them. We're also thankful for family and friends who've asked how they can help and who have already become our prayer warriors. Cole and Brittany send their thanks to all of those who stand beside them on this journey. Continued prayers are greatly appreciated! God is good and we know, with Him, we'll endure this season with joy and the hope ahead for Cole's recovery.
