Support DC Chess Champions' Trip to Orlando!
Help the DC Chess Champions compete for the national title in Orlando this August!
Jesse and Zahir won all of their games in this May's DC Scholastic Chess Championship and have qualified to represent the District of Columbia's Ward 7 as champions against winners of all other state tournaments in this August's Barber and Denker Tournaments of K-8 and High School Champions!
Jesse and Zahir need your generous support to be able to travel to Orlando and pay for room and board without the costs being a burden for their families. Both are diligent students who put in a lot of sweat to win the District's championship, and are working to fund their own trips this summer. Your support to help fully fund the trip - and if enough funds are brought in to support a parent to travel with them - will be invaluable to their success.
Please note that your funds will be tax-deductible, as 100% of your donations will be directed to travel/lodging/food costs through the nationally recognized non-profit organization Chess Girls DC. Listen to the US Chess Federation's podcast about the organization here.
If you'd like to learn more, you can reach out to Robin Ramson, United States Chess Federation Scholastic Coordinator at [email redacted] or
Jesse and Zahir's coach David Bennett at [email redacted] and we will answer any questions you may have.

Your support is invaluable, and any help you can give will go a long way. Help Jesse and Zahir represent DC this August and gain the developmental experience of a lifetime!
