Support Inclusivity in Uganda!!!

The Universal Love Alliance is a grassroots human rights organization that supports marginalized people in Uganda, including women, children, the elderly, HIV positive persons, and sexual minorities. The ULA team is led by director Samson Turinawe and associate director Sharon Kukunda. The Universal Love Alliance Foundation is a foundation of US supporters that help ULA raise support.

ULA has 4 basic areas of work: opening hearts and minds to inclusion of the marginalized, empowering women to transform their lives, supporting the most vulnerable on their path to prosperity, and teachings going into action.

ULA's projects include:
* Workshops to train faith leaders and youth to practice inclusion of marginalized groups that have historically been shunned by society
* Women's empowerment collectives in which members confront misogyny and domestic violence, and develop income-generating projects
* Support for the needy, including children's education
* Inclusive Clubs in Ugandan secondary schools that further diversity in their community
* Harmony Gardens self-supporting organic gardening co-op

ULA badly needs its own vehicle in order to fulfill their projects with safety and efficiency. Their outreach extends throughout rural Uganda ... often a 6-8 hour drive from their base in the capital Kampala. Roads in these regions are in bad condition, and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a necessity.

The ride share taxis in Uganda are unsafe and expensive. Fatal accidents are common as the taxi drivers often drive under the influence -- ULA director Samson was in a serious accident where several people died. Samson has also been physically assaulted on several occasions in a taxi because of his identity.
A private vehicle is needed for the safe and efficient transport of::
* the ULA team, volunteers and people they help
* equipment and materials for workshops and support projects
* basic living supplies to those under the care of ULA
