We are a team, ApeX, competing in the VEX EDR Robotics competition. Our team has 6 enthusiastic members; myself (Ansh Jaiswal), Nirmay Jadhav, Siddh Patel, George Sewell, Swattik Das and Lucas Lu, all in Year 10 at Queen Elizabeth's School for Boys in Barnet.
The competition we are participating in is the world's largest robotics competition, and involves designing, programming and building advanced robots to complete set tasks in tournaments involving other teams. The aim is to promote STEM and engineering through competitive games and challenges. This is the game for this year:
Our school is renowned for excelling in this competition, despite this being only our third year participating. Both previous years our school has represented the United Kingdom in both the senior (VEX EDR) and junior (VEX IQ) levels of the competition. The junior teams performed outstandingly and won the Excellence Award, the highest possible award, and therefore became the first British team to win the worldwide championships. Our aim is to repeat that success this year while also setting our grips firm into the world of robotics.

To keep the competition fair, we are only allowed to build and design with VEX pieces. These pieces are made by VEX and are therefore quite dear but are also necessary to advance our robot and buy board pieces to maximise our chances of success. So hence we request your kind support in helping us achieve our goal. We assure you that we will strive to make the most of this opportunity and any money donated wisely to progress in this competition.
