Supporting Mike Kopp

Donation protected
On Thursday, April 6th, Mike was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer known as Acute Myeloid Leukemia. For this type of blood cancer, the treatment given is chemotherapy and possibly a bone marrow transplant. This came as a major shock to both Mike and our family. Due to his inpatient stay at Aurora St. Luke's hospital, he will not be working for several months. Any donation given will be a tremendous help for Mike to cover time off from work, cover any bills, and to help pay for his treatment.
Because of Mike's compromised immune system, we are discouraging visitors at this time. We do encourage any texts, calls, or letters that you would like to send him. (Flowers are also not allowed in his unit, due to their ability to carry bugs or germs). If you do wish to send him anything, he will be staying at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee on floor 12T.
For anyone who knows Mike, he is a very happy and positive person. It is extremely painful for myself and my family to watch him struggle during this challenging time. We are all doing anything we can to help him through this, and he appreciates everyone's kind thoughts and prayers.
We would like to thank everyone who has already extended their support to Mike and our family, it is helping more than you know. Please keep Mike in your prayers.
