Support for Joe

Joe suffered a serious brain injury on the 17th March this year when he was attacked in Ramsgate. He has been in Kings College Hospital ever since. After nearly losing his life over two months ago he has come a long way. The first six months after a Brain Injury is the most critical time to gain the most recovery.
To date Joe has received the most amazing treatment from the NHS but unfortunately rehabilitation centres have a huge waiting list for minimal places.
Joe will be moved to a local hospital at some point soon to await a place for rehabilitation and this is where we need some help with funding. Any help received will go towards outside help from Occupational, Speech, Physio and Nutritional Therapists, plus anything else he may need.
We are so very grateful to anyone who can help Joe to the best chance for his recovery.
Please continue to read for story from the first week:
Joe was attacked on Saturday 17th March in the morning at around 3am in Ramsgate town centre. As most of us know, Joe was only coming back to visit after his visa ran out in Australia and he had only been back for 4 weeks to get some money together and go again.
Unfortunately, due to the attack he is currently in Kings Hospital in the Critical care unit in a coma and breathing through a ventilator. The person that did this to Joe didn't stop once Joe was unconscious and continued to hit Joe and is therefore facing a charge of GBH with intent.
As most of you know, Joe is a self employed plasterer and if he's not working he's not earning money. Much like his Mum and Dad who have barely left Joes side at Kings since the attack.
We are asking as a family for a fund for Joe for when he finally wakes up to support him in helping him get to where he wants to go. He never wanted to stay in Ramsgate anyway and he certainly won't want to now.
Thank you everyone for your support and asking how Joe is.
Please donate what you can.
