The lingering question that is always hanging around in the mind waiting to be asked by some individual is, “Can I make a difference?” Well, the answer to that question is very simple: “Get in the fight and see!”

 
Hello, my name is Darren Joiner and I am  exploring  a possible run for a Senate or Congressional seat in 2020. I am an active member of my community in Rutherford County, North Carolina, serving its children as an employee of the public schools for the last decade. I have a great love for this country, for which I am proud to have served in the U.S. Army during Operation Urgent Fury during the invasion of Grenada in 1983. I am very concerned with the partisanship of those who are now a part of the political spectrum and their inability to come together for the greater good of the nation. 

I have decided that talking about change, changes absolutely nothing! I want to be a leading voice speaking and fighting against the injustice that plagues the American landscape. I want to speak for those who are too weak to speak for themselves, and lift up those who have been repeatedly beat down. I want to be the people’s voice in a system that seems to no longer be a self-government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
