Surgery for Ranger the Pug

Hello Friends and Pug lovers. We are Adam and Abby Abdool. We have three kids, a cat, a tortoise, and last but not least, an awesome and loving pug named Ranger.

About 2 years ago, Ranger developed a mass on his side. We took him to the vet who diagnosed it as a probable lipoma. Unfortunately, the mass continued to grow, so we took him to another vet, who based on Ranger's age of 11 years, recommended we do nothing. The mass continued to grow , and we could no longer sit back and do nothing, so we took him to yet another vet who did a biopsy, which turned out to be a sarcoma cancer. Today, we took him to a surgeon who recommended removing the tumor which we agreed was the best thing for Ranger. The money we raise will be used to pay for part of Ranger's surgey and follow-up care.

The workup to this point and the upcoming surgery will cost $4500 and with follow-up care can climb well above that. Because we love Ranger so much, we will cover all of this is we have to, but it does put us in a tough spot as we have significant expenses from raising 3 young children and other unplanned medical costs.
