Surgical costs for Pebble
Donation protected
Pebble was born to us while we were fostering his mother. We had no idea we would get such an exciting Manx kitten! Unfortunately, Pebble was born with Manx Syndrome . This means that his spine and several nerves did not form completely and never will. Consequently, Pebble hops like a bunny and has a lot of bowel and bladder problems. He suffers from constipation and diarrhea, and has already had severely impacted bowels twice in his short life. It appears that he is developing megacolon, which can be a life-threatening condition because his body cannot expel waste. The x-ray below shows Pebble's last impaction, circled in yellow.
Pebble is undergoing surgery today March 14th to remove part or all of his defective colon tissue with the hopes of improving his quality of life and life expectancy. He is already severely impacted again. As this is an unexpected expense following his second impaction we could use some financial help. If you can only spare a dollar toward the little guy we will be very grateful for the help. He is a part of our family and we love him dearly. If you are unable to donate we appreciate the emotional support as well.
Thank you for considering our cause, from Pebble, Lindsey, and Allan.
