In loving memory of Susan Fjeldheim
Donation protected
Sue was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2014 at the age of 57. She was the beautiful, generous, and most loving mother of Samantha, who has cerebral palsy and severe intellectual disabilities, Alexandra, and Erik. She and her husband Ron were married for 33 years. Sue was the speech language pathologist in the Greenwood School District in South Holland, Illinois for over 34 years. Those who knew Sue, know how compassionate and effervescent she truly was.
Alexandra so graciously served as Sue’s caregiver for over 8 years. For the past year, Sue had been living and receiving care at colonial nursing home in Crown Point, Indiana. Sue passed away the morning of April 9th 2023 on Easter Sunday, accompanied by her family.
This fundraiser is to help pay for Sue’s nursing home care and funeral services. In America, the average cost of a nursing home is $7k+ per month and the average cost of a funeral is $10k.
