Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know our friend and classmate, Susan Sumner, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Susan spent her last days with many of her dear friends celebrating Mission Viejo High School's 50th Anniversary Homecoming and Picnic. Following the picnic, Susan became ill and was taken by paramedics to the hospital where she was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. Infection spread quickly through her body causing her organs to fail and eventually causing brain function to cease. At her death, she was surrounded by two of her children and close friends.
Susan was a single and very proud mother of three to Trevor, Logan and Sean. She was also GrandSusie to her grandchildren, Vallen and Emery. Her children and grandchildren were her world. If you could have only seen the homemade cakes she made for birthdays.
Susan was also very loyal to her friends and I am honored to say I was one of them. I am so happy that her last days were spent celebrating with friends that she loved so much.
I am creating this GoFundMe page to help her children with burial expenses and additional bills. Information regarding Susan's Celebration of Life Services will be posted later.
On a personal note, I have known Susan for 49 years. We have been friends since we were 13. I admired her, she was a hard worker and despite trials she never gave up. I'll miss her, I love her, but I'll see her again.
